(1) The Chief Justice of the High Court may take leave and festival leave by himself after giving oral information to the senior judge after him. The approval of other leave should be obtained from the Chief Justice.

(2) Other judges of the High Court may take the upcoming leave and festival leave by informing the Chief Justice orally. The approval of other leave should be taken from the Chief Judge.

(3) District court judge can come and take festival leave himself. The approval of other leave should be taken from the Chief Justice of the concerned High Court.

However, if possible, the Judge of the District Court should inform the Chief Justice of the concerned High Court orally before taking the festive leave. A judge of a district court having more than one district judge shall inform the senior district judge verbally that there will be no hindrance to come and take holiday leave.

(4) In accordance with this section, the Chief Justice of the High Court may grant leave to a judge for a period exceeding one month. The Chief Justice should be consulted while giving.
